New guy from Utah. Was gifted a '62 Lil Loafer.

So my wife's aunt was cleaning off her property and, instead of scrapping this neat little travel trailer, they said I could have a go at it if I wanted to.

I looked it over, and it seemed totally reparable, and far less expensive than if I were to purchase one on my own, and so I happily towed it home.

It's a 1962 Aristocrat Lil Loafer. My plan is to restore it and tow it around with my 1959 Chevy Apache Suburban, that I am also in the process of restoring. The goal is to have it ready by next July, as I go to the Cache Valley Cruise-in in Logan, UT every year over 4th of July weekend. I usually end up camping out in a tent, and I've been trying hard to find the money to get a trailer eventually, so I can sleep a little better. XD

The trailer needs a lot of work overall. The wiring seems like it was done recently, but there are a few things that I will definitely re-wire. The original big round tail lights aren't wired up, and instead there is only these smaller round lights above them that are working, I want to re-wire it so those are running lights only, and the bigger original tail lights work like they're supposed to. I also want to wire in some interior lights. There are a few, but they are ugly and will go when I rip out the interior to replace it.

Exterior panels are pretty rough all around the bottom half. Upper half panels look decently straight, so I'll only have to replace half the sheet metal instead of all of it. I'll change the paint front the white and blue to a white and yellow to match my suburban, but other than color, I'm going to keep it looking original on the outside.

Welcome to the forum, SuburbanLoafer. Congratulations on your find. It looks like a fun project.

I googled Aristocrat Lil Loafer and found a Facebook page for Lil Loafer Club with lots of pictures. It is an open page, I did not have to sign in to FB to see the photos.
