G'Day from Australia

Postby squidlips » Sat Aug 23, 2014 12:03 am

I'm new to the TNTTT forum and stumbled upon it after seeing my first build on instructables several months ago. Since then I have dreamed of building a suitable camper or teardrop and visited a million (or close to...) sites until I finally found the Holy Grail - TNTTT! As I searched through the pages and various builds I swear I could hear the sound of angels singing and it was at that moment I was certain that building a teardrop was my divine purpose! Well, that's what I'm tellin my wife anyway

So, as it turns out for reasons beyond my control and quite unexpectedly I have just become a pensioner at the grand age of 38. Whilst quite depressing initially I now realise that I will have plenty of time for my new build! So, I'm currently in the initial stage of checking out other builds and plans until I finish all the jobs around the house that I promised I'd complete years ago. Once they are complete, I should have a plan in place and be ready to build! I have the benefit of a father who works in steel and so should be able to build my base trailer for close to nothing which will be a great start. At this stage I'm thinking that something in the 8x5 range would be appropriate provided i use the space well - possibly hinged or pop out side with pull out stove and fridge etc, etc.

Look forward to chatting in future!

Cheers,

Marty

Welcome Marty. You have come to the right place. Seven years ago I found this site and built my first teardrop from the help and information I got here. My teardrop was the first one I had ever seen till I went to a gathering and met some owners. You will certainly like the teardrop lifestyle.
