Hi everyone! We just bought a new, very basic Retro Jr teardrop trailer. Took it out for the first time this past weekend. We are so hooked!! Customizing is in our near future!

Hey Larry! We're neighbors! We're form Manteca. Took it to Mosquito Lakes last weekend. We tried Alpine but it was full. So glad it was! We loved Mosquito. Very small camping area with beautiful sites.
Our little tear is a White Water Retro Jr 509. 13x5. It needs some customizing but, we love it. Can't wait to get it back out on the road!
I'll post some pics soon.

Great! If you are or are not familiar with the 108 Sonora Pass area, Dardanelle, Kennedy Meadows and even over the pass to the Eastern Slope at Levitt Meadow just before the Marine Base at Pickel Meadow, offers some real nice fishing, hiking, hunting and camping. Good luck with the mod's and keep us posted. :pictures: :pictures: :pictures: Hope to run into you on the trail......Larry

Hi Becky, Talk about Mods, Larry just posted his new roof rack and now I can see how to deal with the vent and I need one too. Every time I turn around there is some other thing or Mod I need for my TD. A great obsession shared with many great people. Welcome
Enjoy, Chris.

Thanks Chris! We love our little TD but, wow, you're so right! The list keeps getting longer! And that's ok. It's a labor of love. I followed this forum for quite some time before we decided to join. Such good info and nice people! Glad to be a part of it.

Hello colt59,

What are you using to pull your tear? 5x13 sounds big and heavy. Am wondering how it is to tow one that size.

My wife is from Modesto, and I'm from San José and Sacramento. Were out in Houston for a few more years. Were hoping the water comes back by then. We've been out to knights ferry and the Modesto reservoir but that was a few years ago. The water was still high then.
Regards,
Darryl

Well Darryl, the river at Knights Ferry is still running mostly because of requirements/mandates release's from the Melones Dam into Tulloch and then into the river to support the Salmon run and spawning, Modesto Reservoir is mostly full only down about 10,000 acre feet as it is fed by Don Pedro, Don Pedro is down roughly 1.2 million acre ft..... it is really hurting. I think at capacity it holds 2,030,000 acre feet.

I probably have the size wrong.... 13x5 probably includes the trailer. We have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler. Seems to handle it well. We're going to beef it up a bit, bigger tires and stronger shocks. As soon as I figure it out (and have the time) I'll post some pics.
