I upload my pics to www.photobucket.com it's free and they resize them in the upload. Then just copy the IMG box in the shared links on the right side. Paste it into your thread and it works.

Welcome to the forum. Google reduce pic size in mac and you will get lots of hits. How all depends on what programs you use
