Newbie from Toronto Canada

Hey Everyone in Tear drop land. My name is Steve and I live in Sunny Newmarket Ontario Canada. About 25mins north of Toronto.
I discovered Tear Drop trailers last year and have fallen in love. We now build kits for the do it yourselfers and just sold our first custom model
this august. What amazed me is how huge tear drop trailers are in the USA, and hardly anything is seen here in Canada. I intend to change that.

I am offering tear drop trailer parts at reasonable prices and am willing to help anyone get into their first tear drop trailer. It was a hit in the 1930's
and I believe it will grow more and more here in Canada. The biggest problem we have here is everything seems pretty expensive to import into Canada.

I want to make the tear drop trailer an affordable fun project for fun loving couples here in Canada that love to travel. Well enough said. Check out my new video introduction,
and come by my website soon. I'm going to do a write up on my blog about this forum very soon. Glad to be here among my fellow tear drop trailer enthusiasts... :applause:

There are alot of teardrop owners in Ontario and even a few builders but we can always use more! Welcome!

Hey Glen:

Yes, I've just started noticing that. We're not anywhere close to popularity as the USA though. I hope we can start to arrange a few more tear drop gatherings here in Ontario.
The only ones I've actually seen are "Little guys" and another one around the corner from me, and he bought his in Ohio. What I found interesting is the 4 x 8 size trailers
are not so popular here either. They are usually 4 x 6 or 5 x 8. I like mine 4 x 8. Much more economical when buying materials.

Go to tearjerkers.net and have a peak hundreds of gatherings in a year. We (southern Ontario chapter) have 2 a year and have some large ones planned in the future! Our next one is in 2 weeks at the Pinery and everyone is welcome. :)

Great. Thanks. I saw your other post. I contacted the admins on tearjerkers. I have a user name but I'm still inactive.
pinery is about 3 hours from our place. I'm going to tell the wife about it tonight. We wanted to plan one last trip this year,
And we have not been to pinery yet. Any idea how many people will show ? This would be our first tear drop gathering.

Oh yeah, and what is the southern Ontario chapter all about ? Is there a northern Ontario Chapter too ? I'm in Newmarket, Ontario.

Hey Glen:

Typical newbie mistake. I noticed i jumped from one thread to another asking the same question. I got your answer. thanks.
5-8 should be there. Sounds great. Back to my original question: what is the southern Ontario chapter all about ? Is there a northern Ontario Chapter too ?

I'm still waiting to get my membership on tearjerkers active, so I cannot read anything on the site...
