Well, I took a trip to Quartzsite and worked on the Teardrop while I was there. (friends helped, for sure) Since the finish was so pitted and "dinged up" I opted to paint it with a "stone finish"....Here's a photo with one coat - another couple of coats will go on this summer. A nearby camper came over and felt I was "ruining" it by doing that.

My feeling is that I am not following anyone's rules when making this work for me.

She ended up liking what I had decided to do, and buying the old propane stove that was in it.....the lines were all cut, so it was pretty disabled ( and for my taste, it was just too big) . I also wanted a single bed inside, so I could sit up. I'm only 5' tall. So here are a couple of photos of what happened in Quartzsite. I am continuing to work on the galley and painting the sleeping quarters, now that I am home. Also, I solved the dilemma of the nighttime potty calls. I can set the porta potty next to the bed, and not have to get out.

Oh, yes, the black fenders match my black SUV.
