Hello all! I am Brandon from Fayetteville, Texas. My fiance and I just finished building our first teardrop for our Mini Cooper. I have been lurking around here for some time and finally just designed my own teardrop to suit our needs and weight limits and I must say it turned out better than I expected! I want to share our experiences building the teardrop for the 2013 Mini Cooper (non S) because I haven't been able to find that much information on it. I know there are some here that do it and would love to hear about your experiences and any problems you may have had.
Our background: I grew up in small town Texas and lived here most of my life. I met my fiance who is from Deerbrook, Wisconsin when we both got stationed at Lackland AFB.
We both enjoy building things as well as enjoying the outdoors, so I talked her into building a teardrop after seeing pictures of others towing teardrops with Minis and smart cars. In the past, I had built small cabins in high school, and even a tiny travel trailer, but this was my first teardrop build. We will share our build experiences soon in the build journal!
