Hi All!
Just signed up after spending the past week or so, watching videos, checking out designs and gallery. WOW! There are some really awesome TD's out there and other variations on a theme. It's amazing how creative folks can be. I never seen so much ingenuity packed into a 4x8 trailer! Well, after seeing so many wonderful designs, I am hooked! I have gone over a number of designs from various sites and have ordered a set of plans from Big Woodys. I don't know if I will build the exact TD from plans, but it will give me some answers concerning general building of the TD.
Just reading the posts in this forum, I already know It will be a pleasure meeting new people and making new friends. I will keep pictures of my progress.
Wish Me Luck!

A word of caution. I have $700 in the trailer that the camper is on. When I build another I will just buy a new trailer from northern tool. I spent more money ($500) fixing up the one I got off craigslist for $200 than a new one on sale $400 would have cost. Lesson learned

I put new hub and bearing sets along with new wheels and tires on it. I also put a new light kit, fenders, and new spring hanger hardware to move the axle back. Not that it isn't possible to get a deal on Craigslist, just make sure there aren't new ones out there for the same price with no work involved. Good luck with your build and be sure to post pictures.

Jdw- That's a good point. Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for good sales, too.
