Not a Newbe but a "Final-e"

Postby napigsi » Thu Aug 08, 2013 6:03 pm

Hello all, I am Pete from Central Florida. I have been reading/ following/ researching this absolutely wonderful site for about a year - year and a half and well, It is time for me to Just get going start. I will be beginning my build in the next couple of week. I have already dubbed her the "Yak-Inn", as I am an avid kayak angler and hope to use my tear as a means to go fishing new places. I am going to be building a 5 x 9 (int) Benroy from the plans provided by you wonderful tear-gurus. I will begin a build journal so you all can hopefully help me as I go.

Hi Pete and Welcome!!!! I know you will get lots of information here. It took me a long time to read the forum and to begin my build without the support of the experienced builders on here I would never have begun the build. Good luck!!!

Welcome Pete. I also built a Benroy using resources found on this forum. It has been a very fun and rewarding project. There always seemed to be someone to chime in with helpful advice whenever I needed it, and in addition to now having a great teardrop to camp in, I also have a lot of wonderful new friends. Good luck on your build. We'll be following along.

Well I can't believe it has taken me this long to get started, took a major life change to get to this point. My brother-in-law welded the frame for me 5' x 9' Benroy design. The axle-less hubs, tires and fancy rims (my first and second splurge of the build) came from Etrailer.
