I am a new guy from Canda who can't live without roadtrips.
I want to travel far, and I want to travel free. I have moved to Canada last summer and I am eager to see Canada and US from east to west, from north to south.
I have been interested in teardrops for several years, and now I want to start teardropping.
I have several newbie questions, would really appreciate to know more:
1. Please confirm I can tow a trailer with regular class 5 license (I live in Montreal)
2. Any ideas where I can park a trailer in a city? I live in condo building with only one parking space for my car. I don't really want to leave a trailer on a street.
3. Is it possible to rent a trailer first? I want to try one or two models before I can make my mind and buy. I am a tall person (194 cm or over 6 feet), so I need quite a long trailer to sleep comfortably.
4. My budget is around 5-6K CAD, maybe a bit more, is it possible to buy a decent second-hand trailer? I don't want a trailer older then maybe 5 years, and I would like to avoid custom-built ones for now (what is good for someone, is not so good for other). Would it make sense to buy it in the US? I can see that there are more of them for sale. However actual exchange rate can kill the idea and i'm not sure if I can import it (I know about 15 year restriction for cars, not sure about trailers
5. Do I need any additional insurance for trailer?
Sorry if some of my questions are stupid, I've been living in Canada for 8 months only, don't know many things that are obvious to others.
