Hello, good TNTTT folks. New guy who's been lurking for a little while and going through a lot of build journals lately. My girlfriend and I have been bitten by the teardrop bug and have gotten a start on a Grumman 2ish TD. Started with an old pop up that we got for free and decommissioned it. Painted the frame, new axle on the way, new steel rims with baby moons and chrome trim rings. Frame ended up at 55"W X 130"L. Trying to decide if we should shorten it or take advantage of the room. Made up some portable work surfaces to lay it out on. Can't wait to start making sawdust.
I live in Evergreen, I'm a retired Army officer still working flying helicopters, Mandy lives in Denver and is a surgical tech. We both have strong desire to build, but have never done anything like this. I do have an old '66 Chevy truck that I have sort of restored. It is drive able, but still needs some body work done and a paint job, but I like it. So I have some skills, just not big rolling woodworking project skills. Mandy is pretty darn skilled as well, but she won't admit it, haha.
