Hello from the Berkshires!

Postby kamel90 » Sat Feb 04, 2023 10:37 am

Hi there from western MA!
I am considering building a TD in the future and trying to plan ahead (for once!) and absorb some knowledge and experience from those who have survived the process!
Will be lurking about!
Thanks!

The only one who wanted to be outside yesterday was my Labrador Retriever.
I found if you go outside for a few minutes, going inside feels much warmer. Like running around the pool and jumping back in.

We are just west of the Berkshires, a few miles in New York. We didn't build our teardrop, we restored a vintage one. Used it a couple years then moved up to a 13 foot, and then a 17 foot fiberglass camper.

Those sound like wise options.
Besides this forum, what are some good online resources for used trailers?

If you are considering a fiberglass camper, look on fiberglass-rv-4sale.com and fiberglassrv.com. There were a couple different fiberglass teardrop style campers made but the most popular campers are Scamp, Casita, Burro, and Boler. If you are thinking of a stick built camper like a Shasta or Scotty, those show up on craigslist at times and usually need work.
