Hey All. I've been visiting the forum for years, and finally decided to post. (I would say I was "researching", not "lurking" -- but that sounds like the kind of excuse a lurker would make).
The primary goal of this post is to say thank you to the community for having so much helpful information in one place. Y'all gave me the confidence to try a build, and when I didn't have the time or skills to pull it off, I came back here to gather my thoughts and try again.
My second goal is to "pay it forward" a little bit. The trailer I built is a different concept that I haven't seen discussed very often, and I think that it could be a project that's available to a lot of people who are struggling right now. I wanted a trailer that is light enough to be pulled with virtually any tow vehicle, and big enough to sleep my family of 4, and that I could build in a timely manner with my 2 young children eating huge holes in my available time. I intend to do a 'build journal' even though I'm mostly done, because I think many trailer-curious individuals may want a process that is more "assembly" than building.
Thanks again for all the advice and inspiration I've already received from this form,
J
