Longtime lurker, first time poster

I don't think I'll make many posts. Anything my feeble brain can come up with, has already been asked. I only joined cause I know you luv da pics, and after all the help you've given me, I wanted to give something back. My project is moving along nicely, and I used the generic benroy plans as my model. I made numerous changes (sometimes because of mistakes. Make that "happy little accidents"). Thanks for all the help

Welcome to the discussion BT. You're looking good -- the TD that is

I'm using the Generic BR plans also. They make an awful good starting point.

Please do keep us posted. EVERYBODY should still be learning and listening and we all need input. Often old timers find themselves in a BOX and only the fresh insight of new builders can break us out.

Looking good and "brang her home"

Welcome BT,

That's a real interesting hatch support system in your photo album. Every shop could use some of those.

bt--

Good to hear from you. As Doug said above, it sure would be nice to meet you at Lake Shasta. They even allow soft-sided tears "tents" if yours isn't qute road ready. So, which end of the lake are you?

I'm now on the north shore in Kings Beach, but I spent 20 years in S. Lake Tahoe. The shasta gathering is tempting. I would really like to check out the tears in person, but I have so many things going on right now. I'm sure many on this forum will be interested that when I told my grandparents I was building a teardrop, my grandfather said he has my great grandad's teardrop built in 1945 behind his garage. I have to go to sacramento and take pictures. Possibly it will become "project number 2, the restoration".
