Hey Ya'll!
Not really, I'm not a real Okie, I moved to Oklahoma from Colorado on accident and got stuck here.Hi my name is Johnny Morsund I live in Duncan ,OK about 30 miles east of Lawton. I live here with my wife Kim,daughter Sierra and son Ryan, along with 3 cats and a dog. I registered here 2 weeks ago but my 'puter at home is broken and I've had to sneek around at work to do this. Speakin' of sneekin', lunch is over now,so it's back to work for me.I'll post more later.
See ya,

Image to the playground Johnny. All you really need to make a great teardrop is a reasonable camera.  We love pictures and they keep the bubble oil level.

Enjoy

Jewel,
That sounds great, but alas, I would still be sleeping on the ground. I haven't started building yet. Well, it's break time now so here's some more typing, yeah. I first got the idea about a T&TTT when I saw the show on the History Channel(???).But time pasted and that idea went to the back of my mind to join the many others banging around back there. Then earlier this year I finally convinced my wife to go see my home state of Colorado. For ten years I had been trying to plan a trip home but she allways wanted to go somewhere else,"It's just mountains" she would say. Long story short, when the week and a half in Durango was over, it was her and my daughter that wanted to stay. :D I couldn't be happier, we'er already planing the Christmas trip back. Anyway, the first trip was a tent camping trip, and in that trip I discovered that the ground wasn't as soft as before.(or it could be that age thing) :D So after shopping and seeing the prices for new RVs an old idea in the back of my mind came charging back up front. I started surfing, and here we are. The tear in my mind (for now) is like a hybrid of a Ken-Skill and a Benroy, maybe a little taller to match the roof line of my Dodge SUV tow vehicle. Well hopefully there will be many pics to follow, as soon as the water and the temps. fall to a more comfortable level. Catch ya later dudes!(and dudettes)

Johnny, good to have you aboard. My sister in law lives in Lawton, so I know the area fairly well. How about filling us in on your intentions. Do you plan on building.........buying......restoring......inheriting or finding a usable tiny trailer or teardrop trailer behind someones barn that you would haul off for no charge?

Come and join the best camping group around, lots of friendly folks always ready to answer questions and do what they can to promote your interest in what they all love to do...........Camp and share stories and pics about our trailers.!

We all were Newbies at one time or another........and by the way, I just emailed your boss to snitch on your unauthorized computer use......

Roly

Hey Johnny,
Welcome to the elite group of campers known as tear dropers! It seem like most of us around here like computers, good food, General tinkering, oh yes , and camping! I look forward to meeting you on a camp out sometime. Go ahead and bring the old tent you are always welcome.

:) :) :)

PS one of my favorite camping spots in Colorado is near Durango at Valeceto Lake. It has been several years since being there. They used to be a big group of folks that camped there around the 4th of July that were real big into blue grass music.
Keep smiling!

Thanks Guys,
Well for now all I'm planning is a frame kit from redtrailers.com.(i wish i could find one behind a barn) And i have a general idea what it looks like, but from there it's up in the air. I'm not really a blueprint and plans type of guy, sometimes that works, sometimes i just add to the scrap wood pile. Although for this project i have looked at some blueprints and plans because this is to be my largest undertaking yet. The Benroy plans here were very helpful, and i have a copy of them in my "build book".Oh crap, here comes my boss, time to look busy!
