Hi from a "Little Guy" in Grand Haven Michigan

Postby bmg5 » Wed Jan 23, 2008 3:45 pm

Hi all, been reading for a few months, bought (waiting to pickup) our new '07 6 wide little guy. Really excited to get the family on the road. Went with the wide version so we could squeeze the kids in if the weather got bad, other than that they will be enjoying the attached tent. Personally I will be using this for a base for photography, this seems like a perfect home base for hitting the nation and shooting from some tough to get too locations. Anyone else using the LG for photography? Really looking forward to participating in the group.

Thanks

Image To the playground BG. I see ya made it. I am sure you will enjoy your TD as we all do. Sounds like you are really going to have a great time.

Photography will be great. Just remember to always keep a copy for Aunti M's bubble oil level. ;) 8)

Congrats! Since you're a photographer, I hope we'll see a lot of pics of your Little Guy.

I don't use mine for photography but I do enjoy taking (and posting) photographs of it.

Hi bg,

Welcome to the forum. We don't have an LG, but we do like to look at pictures. So when you take off on the road, be sure and post lots of them.

See you around.

Welcome BG;
You'll meet a lot of nice folks when you go to some of the gatherings.
I'm familiar with the G.H. area, had two houses in Ferrysburg. (yeah, everyone Ferrysburg, its south of Fruitport, REALLY!!). Very nice area. What happened to the Pizza -Sub Shop, ON 31?? See ya down the road someday, maybe for breakfast at Rendesvous or Dee- Lite.
Good luck with the new Lil Guy!
Doug

I replied to your other post, too.

I don't use my Little Guy FOR photography. I do that for $$, so my LG is for getting away from photography, somewhat.

I do bring my little Leica with me for fun, but the rest of my gear stays at home.

My TD is minimal, but I could use it on location. Some cameras and my PowerBook, and I could set up a little photo hut.

Have fun!

Hi BG!

Welcome! We are #200 Tear Drop from Camp Inn.

Maybe, we will cross paths this summer. Or maybe we can get a gathering together here in Michigan.

We live in Rockford, MI.

Look forward to meeting you someday.

Welcome bmg5!

Come on over to upstate NY if you can in June. We'll have several Little Guys (along with lots of other teardrops) enjoying the Spring TearUp in upstate NY. See http://tearuptheadk.com

Have fun camping!

Welcome bmg5,

I am sure you will enjoy your Little Guy 6 wide very much. As I'm also sure hiker chick and many hundreds more will attest to, Little Guy is a great company with fantastic customer service and a solid product.

Too bad you aren't closer because I have the 6 wide trifold mattress you are getting and I would have given it to you for free! Little Guy obviously does not make mattresses and has to outsource. Their trifold mattress just didn't have enough support for me. You might want to upgrade to memory foam or its equivalent at a later date. I really like memory (visco) foam myself, on the road and at home.

Let me know if you want any sharing of ideas or guidance in setting up your Tear, I'd be happy to pass on whatever I can!
