Howdy from the panhandle of Texas. My wife Melissa and I live near the small town of littlefield. We are about as new at this as one can be. We don't have a teardrop yet, but are looking at plans and options. I am a pro bird dog trainer and have some experience building dog trailers. Guess I figured it was time to build a trailer for us. We are very happy to have found this site and the wealth of info it contains. I am sure I will have a million questions that will seem reduntant (curse of a newbie). Best wishes to all. 8)

Welcome. We all, or at least most, have had a ton of questions while planing and building. Don't be shy and ask anything you want.

Welcome,

The world of TD's is blast and you can meet some of the best people in the world. It would be very much help on your build, if you could attend a Gathering and see some TD,s live and visit with people who would be more than happy to share ideas. The first weekend in April is a Gathering in Beavers Bend State Park in southeast Oklahoma. You are welcome to come on over and share the fun and excitement. Good luck and will meet you at a Gathering.

Welcome to the fun. There are some builders in the Amarillo area. We have a ttt but there are some teardrops in this area. There will be a gathering at Cedar Hill in about 5 weeks. There will be a lot of nice friendly people and a lot of different trailers. It would be a fun trip. 8) 8) Ed & Ruby

Hi Tx, at last you found us, you have come to the right place. First you get yourself a bare frame trailer, (just to get you locked into your build) then all you have to do is decide which profile you would like, what material you plan to cover it with, how wide and long you want it and what goodies you would like to have in your galley. See, as simple as that. Do attend a gathering, those teardrop folks are the friendliest you will ever meet. Good luck on your build.

Welcome TX!! :shake hands: We didn't build our trailer, we purchased, but just from hanging around all these great folks it seems like the equation is simple:

10% skill, 90% positive attitude!

Go for it and be sure to post lots of pictures!

Hi TDR & Melissa,

Welcome to the forum. If you can build a dog trailer, you can build a people one. Same principle, different size. Be sure and post pictures as you go, cause we really like to watch your progress.

See you around.
