I rip my studs and beams from 2" by 6" studs. For the floor, 3/4" ac plywood.

You should not need anywhere near 3/4" flooring if you have a resonable number of crossmembers in the frame. I used 1/2" and probably could have used 3/8" OK. I did use 1 and 1/4" by 3/4" ash for the spars. Mostly used the ash because I had some on hand at the time.

I just like the 3/4" for flooring (with crossbeams @ 24") because will not give as much. Oh, and the finish is better on the thicker plywood, I guess it depends on his framing, his trailer is 7' wide. I'm starting a new trailer (5 x 12) that I'm thinking of finishing the floor like a sailboat with kingplank and let-in boards, all 1/4" thick, should look pretty cool.

I wanted to very light weight so my floor is 2 layers of 1/8" on top and a single layer below.

If I were doing it again I'd use a single layer on top. My floor is a torsion box with foam insulation between 1/8 skins.

I have a decent travel trailer and the bed sits on a few supports with a 1/8"skin on top. It works well.

The only time that 1/8 might be thin is during construction, when you are inside on your knees. Then I would throw some 1/8 scrap on top. Once the mattress is in place it is very strong.

If weight is not an issue, then go for the thick stuff.
