Just bought a L'il Bear Benroy design. Needs some cleanup work and some 'customizing' but overall a nice little teardrop. I am still planning on a build (probably this winter), but for now we are looking forward to getting out and doing some teardrop camping!

Welcome to the forum. Working on your restoration project will be good practice for building the ultimate one later. I assume you are a fellow pilot, by the looks of the bi-plane in your post. Nice aerobatic airplane.

Image to the playgroup darhymes. Sounds like a good plan to me. Have you got pictures. By now you will have figured out that they keep the bubble oil level and are a real crowd pleaser.

Enjoy

Should be done 'outfitting' the teardrop in 2-3 more days. We plan on heading out next Memorial Day weekend for the first camp-out.

Pictures will be coming very soon!

We finally got some pics posted over here...and the teardrop is almost ready for the first camping excursion!
I am working on the galley now, which includes reskinning the hatch interior and backsplash, cleaning up the electrical wiring, and installing new (safer) hatch props.

More pics to come!

Hi darhymes,

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking trailer. Looks like you might have a little work, but not much. Looks campable to me right now.

See you around.

Welcome aboard, it looks like you took the same path I did. Buy a Little Bear, do some camping, find what you like and dislike and start planning your first build based on these observations.

Exactly right, James. My wife and I figured we need to get out and do some camping and the 4x8 tears are much more affordable. This one needs mostly cosmetic work and will do very well until we build our "Dream Machine".
