I have NO experience in building ANYTHING with my hands. I am a computer guy by trade. Have been since I was 12. I can tear apart almost any electronic device and get it back together again, with a few new features

I also have a tendancy to take on gigantic projects that I have no background in. When I was 14, I wanted to learn how to play Folsom Prison Blues on the guitar even though I didn't know the first thing about playing. 18 months later, I was playing folsom like Johnny.
Back to tears, I have decided to go whole hog and build a version of Mike's Generic ET. 12' X 6'6" with bathroom, shower, 12/120, A/C, eveything. Since I am not sure it qualifies as a tear anymore, I will be putting the build thread under Non-Traditional Designs. Tenative name is the One Night Stand ET, but it may be a little corny for me.
I plan on using Steve's shop manual and techniques to put the tear together. I have begun tooling up and have been building some skills on other projects. Have built a chest of drawers and a bathroom vanity, that I glassed, poorly, but glassed none the less. I feel my skills are almost ready to start tearing up a giant tear.
Mike, if you read this, I would love to get some specific measurements on the ET and pick your brain about constructing the A/C shroud/Hood/Roof.
I will put them in the build thread.
Sorry, about the longwinded intro, but that is my story.
Let's see what a year or two brings...
