I'll search for the right place wher to put a little story about buildng the TD.

By the way, I saw a 'Dutch cap' in your album. Never seen it in Holland.....
I do not even know what it is...

Graddus, I am not sure where the Dutch ovens, Dutch caps got their name originally but the majority of us cook outdoors with our "Camp Dutch Ovens...ovens with 3 legs on them and a lid with a deep lip in order to hold hot charcoal. In my album my youngest son is cooking some chilli in one. The Dutch Cap is used to keep the heat in, similar to an oven but not quite.

By the way, Holland/Netherlands is my youngest sons favorite place to visit. He's only been twice and took his new wife there on their honeymoon. Beautiful country.

Hey Graddus,

Leuk om eindelijk een Nederlander op het forum te hebben.
Jij bent toch niet de monteur van de houthandel Fantuzzi's?
En inderdaad, het onderstel is echt een succes.

I'm sorry I've never repaired a forklift in my life.
I do wonder why you kept the original lights on the trailer. The beatle lights look much better!

About Heineken: The best beer in Holland is 'Grolsch' but Heineken has the best marketing-people.....

And I really have never seen such a which-pot in my life (too cook in).

Yes, and in France they don't know what a 'French letter' is - except for some older guys, who call it a 'capote anglaise' (= 'English hat').

I think the phrase 'dutch cap', for the diaphragm contraceptive, may exist only in Britain, not in America?

Graddus,

so, I thought you were an other one. Sorry for that.
About the original lights, the nice Volks Wagen Beatle 1302 Mexico lights are not connected at the moment, so for the safety, when driving the TT home, I kept those originalies on the teardrop.

About the beer account, Graddus is right. GROLSCH is the best, specialy the half litre bottles.

And at least about the dutch oven account, couldn't it be possible that the peoples back in the 17th century brouhgt them to the "New Country" to cook on, because in a country you gonna move to, there is not the comfort you wish as you had home. So, I think, it will go very long time back.

Grtz Henk
