Hello Everyone!

I just discovered teardrop trailers a couple days ago in a random YouTube video. They really interest me and i already am excited about possibly building one in the months to come. I decided to join this forum and get as much advice and information as i can, as well as network with people in my area. I have always been an avid hiker, camper, and hobbyist so building a teardrop would be very rewarding and fun. Anyways enough rambling. I look forward to chatting with all of you in the months to come!

Welcome to the board! Just don't be shy about asking questions and make sure that you post lots of pictures when you start building.

Did you see the FREE plans at the top of the page "Generic Benroy Plans" that may not be the profile you want, but will give some ideas on how to build one, no matter what profile you choose.

Welcome...I fell into the teardrop "addition" after getting a fix for my habit of cedar strip canoe building with the good people BearMountain Boats in Peterborough, ON.

Have a great time designing and building your trailer!!!! I think you will really enjoy this!!!!

Image to the playground Skippidy. Ask all the questions you want. Do check out the free plans and the Build forums. A lot of the builds and the Hall of Fame have how-to's with them. They can be wonderfully helpful.

Enjoy and dig out the

Skippidy, glad you found us and hope you have fun with your build. Remember, every tenth teardrop that is built has to be a woody, and the nine people before you skinned theirs with aluminum..........so.......

Naw, just kidding, be as inventive as you like, rarely are there any two alike. Really all you have to do is decide on the profile, length, width, galley design and whatever interior you will be happy with. Enjoy

Wow thanks for all the support everyone! Ive been scoping out the Hall of Fame and I already have a bunch of ideas. I'm thinking of going with a 4 x 8 design. My brother has a very old trailer that he is willing to give me but its in pretty bad shape. I'm thinking of buying a new one. I have definately been bit with the Teardrop bug though. I wont be fully satisfied until there is a teardrop in my driveway! :)

Hi Skippidy:
Greetings to another Ontario builder. There is a "Roll Call" section in the 'Camping and Gatherings' information under the 'Ontario, Canada' heading.
Check it out and you'll get info on who might be close enough to give you a hand with local suppliers/help.
Good luck with the build.
