Hope work, home life, growing son and the usal does not make me put it on hold. As per normal.

So happy new year to all, keep posting - keeps me motivated.

Happy new year to you too.

What are you planning to build?

Where abouts in the country are you ?

Some of us Brit builders are hopeing to get together somewhere near Buxton around May this year. You would be more than welcome to join us , and if you have a trailer campable, thats a sweet bonus.

Happy building , and don't forget to take loads of photos

Cheers, Dave

Hey nopanic,

You'd better get started before you get too old. :R

The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Nr Liverpool

Plans - I keep changing them, depends on what I can sort out. The aim is to base it on a braked trailer, so I can tow it with on old Triumph Herald I own. But this is a bit of a dream as I will mostly be using a modern boring volvo.

I will try and take pic of my cardboard model - which at least I did mange to make. And if I do pull my finger out this year, I will post other pics.

To everyone else who has built or is building one, keep posting on this site, as it keeps me sane (almost) and its good to get ideas and great information.

Thanks
Neil

Buildin'

Postby Mark McD » Mon Jan 12, 2009 8:50 am

nopain,
I'm about to start building also, after having to wait five years since building my last. Not like I haven't been building- a new shop,a sailboat, refurbed a Mini, decks, fences, outdoor bar, paintball field. Just haven't been able to find time for a new ttt.

Maybe knowing other people are starting ,(again), will help both-or all- of us to roll up our sleeves and get busy!

The fact that my mother -in-law has gone back to her condo down south has nothing to do with the fact that I started my camper . ;)

Happy Building!

Hey Neil,
How about using an alko caravan chasis from a donor van like this on in Oldham
You would have loads of useable parts from it.

If it was closer to me I could be very tempted.

Happy building fella.

Image to the playground Neil. Planning takes time. Just remember if the plan keeps changing you will never get past the CAD (cardboard aided design) Keep us posted and when you get started remember to keep the bubble oil level. :pictures: :pictures: :pictures:
