first let me introduce myself I am Marco and I live in Davie FL.
Here is a pic of my new trailer a M116A3 the trailer is in perfect condition it looks like it has never been used and just sat in a warehouse all its life. I am planning to build a off road teardrop on this trailer. it currently sits on 35X12.5R17 bfg mud terrains. The trailer has a brake system and also independent parking brake for each wheel and it is rated one ton. any ideal are welcome!

that ought to make a heck of a base for an offroad tear. Cool find! Good luck with your project.

The current owner has a tag for the trailer. It seems that in florida they will not issue a title for a trailer under 2000 lbs. I have to take the government sales document and bill of sale to the tax collector and they will issue a tag under the homebuilt trailer deal. i am looking into all that now.

what i dont understand is that if i get it tagged now after the build it might be over 2000lbs so do I have to get a title once it goes over? ill find out sometime next week.

here are a couple of pics of my tow rig. 1973 toyota fj40 land cruiser. Ramjet 350 EFI putting out 410 hp. its got a 4 inch lift.

Image to the playground Marco. Looking forward to seeing this done. Beautiful tires too. Will you match them?

Great trailer. I don't think I've ever seen one without the sides on it. A great platform for an offroad trailer. I see an FJ colour matched Teardrop in your future. You carry some serious weight over your rear axle with that gas can rack and big tires. I offroad as well, but with the British equivelant:

I just recently sold this one as I needed to reduce some toys:

I don't offroad my teardrop, it gets parked for camping as most of our trails are short in and out variety.

Enjoy and keep the board posted on your progress.

Welcome! Dang. That's thing's beefy.

Will the pintle hook allow for greater articulation than a ball hitch in an offroad environment? I know it's less likely to pop off. (I use these things at work, but in a paved, mostly level environment). What about the surge-actuated hydraulic brakes? What do the off road guys say?

And how's the idle and low-engine-speed qualilty on a 410 HP 350? That sounds nastay.
