Newbie from St Louis says Hi and Hopes for advice!

Postby StLouisDyan » Fri Jun 05, 2009 5:04 pm

Hi
I am new to this group. I loved camping as a kid and my own kid is getting to that age but Mama has gotten too old to sleep in a tent (also I am somewhat concerned that tents aren’t all that safe for a woman and small kid by themselves). I am looking into getting a teardrop and haven’t quite decided on which make and which features I need but I have gotten some good suggestions Yoder Toters, Little guys and Camp Inns – I am hoping to learn more from more experienced folk before I “pull the trigger” and buy our home away from home – Building is out of the question for me, no aptitude in that area!

Thanks
Dyan

Hey Dyan,

Welcome to the forum.

All those names are good ones... there's others too. Some of em even hang out here on the forum.

Have fun doing the research. ;)

Mike...

Welcome aboard. If you scroll down to Teardrop Manufacturers down at the bottom, you will see loads of different ready-made teardrops that you can buy that hopefully fulfill your needs. Good luck.

HI! I am a mama from the metro-east (near Belleville). I am newish here. I bought a 5x10 Silver Shadow/Lil' Traveler (made by Pleasant Valley Trailers for Little Guy). I am thrilled with it. I plan on camping alone with 3 kiddos much of the time. (when my hubby has time to go along, we'll probably take an RV). I'd be happy to answer questions you have and even show you my rig. Go for it!
