So I have been lurking on this site for a few weeks. This site seems great. It is obviously a place with a wealth of knowledge, with that said thanks to all the members on here that have contributed. I plan on visiting this site frequently, and may have a bunch of questions for you all. I took the plunge today and bought a trailer frame to build a teardrop on. The frame is from an 81' Coleman pop-up trailer. It needs some TLC but it should work great for what I am planning. I plan on doing a custom build so that I can set it up exactly how my girlfriend and I see fit. Anyways I am excited, but unfortunately I am leaving out of town Monday and won't be back for a week and a half, so things will have to wait. Anyways its nice to finally post here.

Hi Jim, welcome aboard. Some have built on such a pop-up trailer frame, and it should work out very well. Bear in mind that all of us are here to help you with whatever questions you have, regarding your build. I suggest you take pics of your progress, post em and make us happy. There are a number of AZ teardroppers that may respond to your post..........(Hello Eddie), and your building of that teardrop will be a snap.
Remember, ask questions, take pics and join us at a campfire.

Hi fellow Tucson member.

I am also going to start my build in about a month here in Tucson (N.W. side of town). I am in the designing stages right now. PM me if you want to get together. Maybe we can order some stuff together to save a little $$.

Hi Jim
I'm in east Tucson. I have wanted to build a Tear Drop for many years but recently ended up with a TTT rebuild instead. It's great to find there are not only so many people involved here but many locals too.

Jerry and Galen welcome to this tiny world. Hope you guys get your trailers done soon so we can camp together. There are a few gatherings down there in Tucson that happen during the year and I think there all at Catalina State Park. Keep an eye on the www.azroundup.net web site for info on upcoming Arizona gatherings.

Thanks for all the nice replies. I'll definitely start a build thread and document my progress once I get started.

Galen,
I also live on the NW side of Tucson for now, and even if I move more central, my build will still take place on the NW side. I'll shoot you a pm when I get around to actually working on things, right now I am in Illinois.

The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...
