Tiny camper, tiny car...

Postby Harleyduo » Sat Aug 01, 2009 5:19 pm

Hello! We are brand new to this site and also brand new to teardrop camping. We just bought a tiny unit (under 400 pounds) and plan on pulling it with our 2008 Smart Car convertible (Cabrio). Oddly enough, both units together will only be about as long as my pickup truck is by itself. The Smart car only has a 1 liter, 3 cylinder engine, so its towing capacity is limited. Right now we are waiting on the trailer hitch and wiring harness we ordered. We'll report how things go once we hit the road for our first time.

We enjoy reading this site a lot, and will undoubtedly be asking a ton of questions in the near future.

Welcome!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing pics of a Smart Car pulling a teardrop (what I would call a "smart" trailer).

Your Smart Car-Smartdrop combo going down the road will be such a head-turner it will cause whip-lash.
