New to Teardrops

Postby gpacheco » Mon Aug 17, 2009 4:35 pm

Hello from Powell, TN,
I'm totally new to teardrops. I have always loved the look and simplicity of them.
I think I am looking for a teardrop to restore. I don't really have time to build one from scratch and I can't afford to buy one already complete. I will be cruising around reading as much info here as I can take in and trying to make up my mind what I want. Actually it seems like it will be hard to find an old one to restore (I have searched locally...nothing here).
I have a lot to learn.
Anyway, whatever direction I go, I will be looking forward to the journey.

Hillo Gary, it appears you have also been bitten by the teardrop bug. Join the club, since many of us have also enjoyed the bite. I suppose you already know about the trailers-for-sale section at the bottom of the forum page. If not, check it out. Also, put a blurb in the 'Off Topic" section, letting those in your area know that you are hoping to buy a used one in fairly good shape.

Now, if I were you, I would contact the Tearjerkers chapter in your area, and see where there is going to be a gathering that you can attend. Everyone in welcome as a walk in, and you won't meet a nicer bunch. Perhaps some tear owner or builder in your area will read your post and contact you. If all of these tips don't get you into a teardrop trailer, what can I say. There has to be one out there that has "Gary" written all over it. Find it, buy it, and we'll see you around a campfire, tellin' us what a great deal you got. Enjoy.........and oh yes, welcome to the forum, the best T&TTT site on the web.
Roly 8) ;)
