Greetings and a "good job" to those who created this site. Great info and it has inspired me to create my own. While I would love to build from scratch, and am confident that I could do it, I think my wife and I are going to go the route of an enclosed trailer conversion. We had a Keystone Outback 23' trailer previously and loved it, but it was just too big to store on our own property and so we are looking smaller and built to "our" specs.
We have a local company that builds trailers called Kristi Trailers. I am looking into buying one of these. Around $3000 for a 6 x 12 with a V nose. Anyone have any experience with Kristi Trailers?
We like small as it will be just my wife, me and our dog. But, we have to have a full bath. Not liking the Porta Potty or the communal bath at campsites. Sorry, just the way we are.
Any thoughts on a rough estimate finished price to build one with heat, AC, hot water, full bath and kitchen? I also need sources for the windows and all the above mentioned items, hopefully within a reasonable distance. I even thought about buying a used truck camper to tear all relevant parts out of. Again, any thoughts?
Also, has anyone ever thoguht about building a rear slide out using the rear ramp door as a platorm for a 4' rear slide out to rest on?
What about 12v as opposed to 110? Northern Tool has a 60w solar kit that has an inverter and battery hookups. Anyone used this?
I know this is a ton of questions, but any help would be great. I have a lot of experience with home improvement and automotive repair and automotive stereos. I think that a slightly over the top conversion will net us exactly what we are looking for, but in a compact unit that is towable with my FJ Cruiser (5000lb towing capacity) .
Thanks in advance for any help or links to threads where these questions may already be answered. I have been overwhelmed with info from this site but I want to have as much of a plan as possible before I embark on this mission.

Welcome to the forum. Check out the 'Cargo Trailer Conversions' thread on the main page. It has a wealth of information. I've often thought of converting a small cargo trailer myself.
