Hello! I've been lurking on here for about six months, but have finally started building my trailer about a week ago! :D My name is Benton Ellsworth, and I'm from Northeast Kansas.

I now have a job and a steady income, and I just couldn't wait until spring to start my tear. With it being winter break, I've had plenty of time to get a good start on my trailer. Oh, I forgot to mention I'm a 16 year old high school student.

I've decided to build the Weekender with a few personal modifications. Here's a rough sketch. Image

Once I get all my pictures resized, I will start a build journal and post the link in this topic later.

Welcome to the forum Benton.

My first car was a 1963 544 Sport and I loved that car, wish I still had it.

Your trailer is lookin good. I agree it's a little over built in the frame but that was what you started with and it's the first so what the heck. Your doing great.

Can't wait to get you out to a gathering sometime and see it up close.

Just over the border and a bit south.

your first car is now twice as old as Benton.... :}

Wonder if Benton is now the youngest active member?

Way to go. Its nice to see a young man interrested in a old way of camping. Maybe we will meet on the camping road some day. Good luck with your trailer build.

Thanks for the support everyone!

Here's the link to the build journal http://mikenchell.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34296

It'll be a few days before I can get back to work on it, unfortunately. Gotta work!
