I am a Newbie and I also need advice

Hi I'm Kathy, from Central California (Merced County) I joined this group about a week or 2 ago. I do not have a teardrop yet but hope to in the next couple weeks. About 9 yrs ago I came across teardrop trailers while I was looking for something else which I can't remember what. Have been wanting one since. Been a little bit worried about gettin one since I have never towed anything before. But Now I have decided that was silly and am going to take the plunge. (Nice thing about getting old lol)
Now I need opinions.

I am getting ready to buy a teardrop, There is a 1947 teardrop looks like a Ken-Skill but it doesn't say. Its 4ft wide and sleeping area inside is 6'8" has sink and comes with a stove, shelving and cabinets inside and galley also has a small closet inside. Weighs 900 lbs. Does not look like it has a fan. That is in Manteca within 60 miles of me. Asking 3,200.

In Santa Rosa/Winser area (I am not sure I want to go that far) there is a 1954 BenRoy (unrestored but good shape) which also has the sink and stove with drawers in the galley and cabints and shelves inside. does not appear to have a fan either. Weight he says anywhere from 600 to 700 lbs but I read the history of Benroy and it says around 740 lbs. Asking 3,500 but willing to lower the price.

In Sacramento there is a 1954 teardrop don't know what model 5x8 weighs 700 lbs has a roof vent states lots of cabinets and shelves. (Was made by a carpenter) has a swing out 2 burner stove. Asking 3,500

Is it worth having a sink? Would it be better to have a fan put in or would one just sitting inside work just as well? I drive an 2000 outback 4 cylinder. The 1947 weighing 900 lbs would probably weigh about 1200 after packed. I think I have to consider myself and passengers in the weight limit to, so that could even add up to more. The outback towing limit is 2,000 I don't want to over tax my car but the 1947 I kind of like the best. Although I think the teardrop in Sacramento sounds like the best deal. Both the Benroy and the teardrop in Sacramento are listed in Tales & Trails. The 1947 was listed for a couple of months in craigs list but the ad expired. (I called to inquire if he sold it or is still interested in selling. He still had it)

Any opinions advice?

Im really new to this myself. Started building my own because i have alot of materials available to me for free. Looked at a few teardrops over the last year and have come to realize some things. tow vehicle is very important. Any of the three sizes should be fine for you vehicle. Even loaded.
Try to imagine yourself out on a camping trip and everything that you take with you. How would a TTT fit into to that. I have imagined what, and how, i want to use mine and have built it to those details. I am hoping it works out the way i want, but i know i can change things. The three you mentioned may fit your ideas. Best bet is the one you are attracted to. That may be the one you will use the most. Something you feel comfortable being seen with and in.

We are towing with an Outback with the H6 so more HP. You should not have any problem with towing.
I am assuming you will be heading for the Sierras and weight will count, you will want to have a transmission cooler added as well.
