Hi, I am Darrell Thurman and live in the Willamette Valley in Scio, OR.
Scio is near both Albany and Salem. I am about mid-way in building my first teardrop and am having a BALL. It is a "from the ground up" project only farming out the frame to a metal working neighbor. I am using Kupple Creek plans (with personal modifications, of course). The interior is of standard birch/maple plywood with the cabinet face frames and doors made from spalted maple. Accent pieces are of maple burl. The gallery drawers and cabinets will be made from walnut and will have a tile covered countertop surrounding the two burner stove. Nine gallon water storage tank with no sink and no icebox. A single movable water faucet will be connected to a small pump (think kitchen sink spray nozzle). Pictures will be posted in a couple of months.
This forum has been VERY helpful and valuable in answering the majority of questions that have come to mind. Thanks for everyone's input.
