Ooh! Ooh! Look at the Newbie!

Hi, my name is Matt and I am a tear drop-aholic. I actually was referred here by a friend of mine from one of my shooting boards as I was researching camping trailers that would go anywhere my Wrangler Unlimited will.

The wife and I love camping but at 36 years old, 2 herniated discs in the back for each of us and a little one on the way a tent isn't cutting it anymore.

She wanted a popup which I explained would promptly be turned into splinters on the first large rock so we started researching other options. I found a lot of expedition trailers I loved such as Adventure Trailers Chaser and the offerings from Campa but we were looking at 13-28 grand and still sleeping in a tent. That is when I stumbled across the Little Guy Rough Rider and I have been hooked ever since. I haven't made the purchase yet and may not for a while but I know exactly what I want out of a trailer now.

Thanks to this site for feeding the addiction. :D

Here are a couple of shots of what we will be pulling it with. I don't have any updated pics but it has been improved since these were taken in the Spring.

Welcome Matt, you will do well with the LG Rough Rider. That is a well thought out and well built off road teardrop.

In addition to your new home here at T&TTT, I would also highly recommend you take a look at Expedition Trailers Forum.

Hi Matt & wife,

Welcome to the forum. Lots of Jeepers have been here, and left a wealth of information for you. I hope the information helps you!

BTW, it looks like you are from MI too. UP or LP?

Thank you everyone for the overwhelming welcome and the advice on the expedition area.

Mike - Ahhhh, you are Lake Orion. I am actually not far from you at all. Between Flint and Lapeer. Pratically neighbors in the big scheme of things. Those pics were taken at my in-laws Roscommon cabin.

Hi Matt welcome to site. :D Lots of us pull with JEEPS. I have a CT the jeep pulls it fully loaded at 70 mph and you can't tell its back there. As fare as going off road with it I haven't been able to. The Mt. I go to is covered with snow and getting more ever day. When it melts I will be up there we will be going up to play in snow with jeeps soon.

We had four jeeps prior to getting our lil traveler (not built to off road). We went to Canada to get our other rig. It's is a Kamparoo built in Alberta.
