Motocross Dad

Hi All,
My name is Dave, from VA Beach, VA. My son is racing Motocross now(since I retired from the Navy). Best thing we could be doing together. I have a 6 x 12 cargo trailer which we live in when we race. I have bunk beds, but that thing is COLD! Anyway, the "official conversion" started today. After a ton of research, reading this site(THANKS EVERYONE) trips to look at Home Depot, I turned it over to a buddy who restores boats and is a cabinet maker. So I will post pictures when we get done and will give the full rundown then. I'm doing the wiring and hanging lights, he's insulating and doing all the wood work. I use a Honda 3000 generator for power, electric blankets, ect... 19* in the am is even to cold for that! Well, wish us luck!!

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum. If you have the power with that generator, you could probably heat the whole unit with a plug in, electric heater or two. I have a small one in my 4x8 teardrop, and if I leave it on with the doors closed, it'll heat the interior up to 90 degrees with outside temps at about 40 degrees. No insulation, just 1/4 inch side walls. Good luck, looking forward to seeing pics of the progress.
