Hello!

Postby Justin & Katy » Wed Jan 06, 2010 2:36 pm

Just wanted to say hi. I guess you can say that Katy and I are tear drop enthusiasts in the sense that we're enthusiastic about not having to camp in a tent any longer!!! We were at Cloud Croft last year with Mike and Brenda and we all had a wonderful time. (Katy is Brenda's daughter...Mike's step-daughter) Mike and I are getting the materials together to build a Tear. We should get started in the next week or two. I'm sure we'll be posting build pics so be looking for them...it's going to be a nice one! I'm also a Coleman collector/enthusiast. :beautiful: I love buying old Coleman’s and bringing them back to life. I'll see what I can do to post some pics of my Coleman's in the Vintage camping equipment thread. I've gotten the chance to know quite a few collectors so if you have any questions about your Coleman or need help, hit me up. If I don't know the answer, I know someone who will.

Cheers

Well you're gonna fit right in. Welcome to the playground! :applause:

(Watch out for that Coleman Gang around here though. Nasty nasty bunch of severe addicts.)

Welcome. Hopefully, you can have it ready to camp by the Palo Duro Canyon gathering in May, so you can try it out in your own backyard.

CD

Palo Duro was NOT tent friendly last year.

THANKS FOR THE WELCOME!

-Casey

I heard that PD was absoluetly terrible last year. I haven't tent camped down there in quite some time. I'm hoping that we'll be able to be there this year.

Oh Boy! a new tear dropper and a Coleman guy to boot! So now is the time to put up some pics of your Coleman finds! Somehow...the 2 hobbies work very well together. Looking forward to your input! Doug

Welcome aboard. I know what you mean about the tent thing. I love to camp but quit because I just couldn't do the tent thing all the time. I'm looking forward to finishing up my tear this summer for some off the ground camping. :applause: Looking forward to seeing your build. Good luck.
Have a great day and hoping the weather is great no matter where you are!!!
