Hello All! I'm new here but already started building my project. It is a revised weekend worrior on a 4X8 trailer. It is as small as you can possibly get so I can pull it with a Fiero. So weight has to be under 750lbs. I am using 1/2 inch plywood that has gel-coat on both sides. This sould be water proof once the edges are sealed up. I will post pictures after I get a few made.

If there is anyone in my area please let me know so I can get to meet ya.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob,

Nice to have you on the board!

There are a bunch of teardroppers in the metroplex about 30-40 miles north of you. I've been working on mine for about 18 months now.

If you haven't already, check out the South Central section on this board. There are outings scheduled monthly. In September, there's an outing at Loyd Part at Joe Pool lake. If you're done, please join us. If not, tent camp or stop by anyway.

Hi Guys,

I will keep the event in mind.

As far as the plywood goes, there is a manufacturer of Box Trucks and Armor trucks that throughs the scraps away. You have to know someone to get it. I picked up a trailer full and slowly thining it down. I had just enough 1/2 inch to work with but the rest is 1/4 inch thick now. The company is called Supreme. It's the stuff they use for the box.

I hope to have a working trailer in 2-3 weeks but will still be a work in progress. Anyway thanks again for the welcomes and look forward to meeting people soon.

Thou Doeseth? I may upgrade though. That one has been sitting on the shelf for a long time but still works....even with the old fuel in it. I found a sun roof for the front roof panel and looking into door windows now.
