Loooooooooong time reader, first time poster

Name here is Frank, located in South Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia.

I've been lurking and reading here for a long time.. Been working on a project and wanted to start posting about it, so I went to register. It seems I already have an account.. from over 3 years ago! I knew I had been reading here a long time, but didn't think it was *that* long!

Anyway, working on a small (not sure it fits into "tiny") travel trailer for my brother. Body is right around 13 feet long and 7 feet wide. We're about 6 weeks in at this point and should be raising some walls this week. I'll get a thread started in the build section with some pictures ASAP.

Just to give an idea, here's the current working floorplan:



It'll be nice to be part of a community that doesn't think I'm crazy when I say I'm building an RV!

3 years?! It looks like it's about time you joined the fun instead of watching the goings-on from the bleachers! Can't wait to see more pictures of this build you're doing.

It is a pretty big and ambitious build, should keep us a busy for a while. All joking aside, the initial plan was to build a generic benroy and it just grew from there.

Mike, I know the rules - lots of pictures for you in that thread! The day we brought the donor trailer home, I immediately grabbed the camera. My brother turns to my wife and says "He's going to post this on the internet, isn't he?"

Yes sir! To clear the wheel well we are using a step tub (sometimes called a seated shower). Lyons industries makes these for RVs and I was able to order one through a local RV dealer for about $100. We went with the 24x32 (http://www.lyonsindustries.com/product_rv/products/rv_tub_bath12d.html).

By the way Steve, your Vardo is a big part of the inspiration behind this build. Love that trailer!
