Greetings from the Eastern Shore!

Hello Everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kate and I live in Dorchester County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. My boyfriend, Jeremy, and I are making plans to start our first teardrop!! We're so excited. I can guarantee we'll be asking tons of questions so get your thinking caps on!

We also started a blog and will be documenting the whole dang build - along with all the fun, girly decorating bits. Come on over and take a look...

Welcome from a Central Marylander! I'm really in the DC burbs.

I look forward to watching your build. I was too chicken to do that and bought a Little Guy Reverse Teardrop.

Hugs,

Hi Kate, welcome aboard. We all have different wants and needs for our teardrop sizes and it looks like you know what will make you happy. I checked out your blog, and the profile looks just fine. (same as mine :-) I only have one suggestion, and that is that you give some thought about making the door a bit bigger.

Also not much has been said on this board about the bottom of the door frame. Some builders have installed a board along side of the mattress to hold all of the bedding in place when the door is open. I tired that method, but found when I was sitting on the mattress, the board cut off all of the circulation in my legs......so I lowered the board to a comfortable level. Just my 2 cents. Good luck on your build, and keep taking pics and showing them to us.

Thanks, Roly. The door is a work in progress. I just drew something in there to finish off the design :) But having a board to hold everything in is a great idea. I'll keep the pictures flowing! PS - Your teardrop is AMAZING.

Ratkity - we were just in DC on the 4th! I LOVE the Metro :) Hope you enjoyed the fireworks!
