I LOVE this site.....I have never seen these trailer until about a week ago when I was looking for ideas for a light weight trailer that didn't cost 20,000 dollars.

I have a trip planned next year to go from Vancouver Island ( north of Seattle ) to NYC in late August. I didn't want to tent it and I thought a teardrop trailer would be great.

Now my problem is that I have 2 kids and myself and my wife....after some digging I found this design that would work for us.http://tnttt.com/viewto ... sc&start=0

What's with the drop floor?? is it only for the height?? What are the depths of the galley's usually?? I was figuring around 24" deep??? I have heard about a spreadsheet that helps you figure out your budget for building a trailer, but I can't find it......Does anyone have this??

A dropped floor is usually 6-8" deep to allow you to set on a short bench/bed about 10 - 12" tall and still have a place for your feet (so your knees won't be in your ears) generally used with a flip down wall mounted or a single pedestal table.

Galley depth can be what you make it , my counter is 15"

Formica pre formed counter tops come in 25" (kitchen cabinets are 24" with 1" nose)
19" ( bathroom vanities are 18" plus a 1" nose.) These two depths seem to be the most common
Growing older but not up !
