Hello, I'm new to the world of tears, as soon as I saw the first one I new I had to build one. My older brother and I built a truck camper several decades ago and I enjoyed the building as much as the using. I'm a former certified welder, wood worker hobbiest, and I teach automotive at a community college. I don't know if any of that makes me qualified to take on such a project, but I'm going to give it a go. It sure is nice to find so many interested and interesting people so interested in a subject. I'm sure if I have a question about something I'll get plenty of help, and I hope I can contribute some portion of what I recieve to the community. I can't wait to get started. I have pretty much decided to build the Campster 12. My wife and I have three grandchildren that we would like to take along on our teardrop adventures and this seems like it would be a little more comfortable than a smaller unit. I really do want to build a nostalgia piece as well, having a passion for old cars and anything else that might go down the road.
