Hello From Prescott Valley, Arizona

Postby 48 Yellow Stone » Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:50 pm

Hi my name is Jerry and my wife's name is Karyn, we have a few restored classic cars and have always noticed the teardrops at a lot of the car shows and cruising events. Last week I bought an original 1948 Yellow Stone Special teardrop near Winslow, Az. and plan to go through it this winter. It even has the 1948 sideways propane tank to match. We are planing on replacing the lights (temporary) and go to the Arizona Round Up to meet everyone and get a few ideas. We are both retired and like to get out and see the world. Wow Jerry, that's some project! You have to keep us posted with pictures on that one, everyone's gonna be interested.

Did you say 83" wide, that's almost 7'!

Looks like it will be a real crowd pleaser when done though.

That is so cool Jerry. I used to go to Zeke's for cruise night all the time in Prescott Valley and planning on starting to go again when it starts back up. Hope to see you at some of the Round up gatherings, the next one is Kirkland 3rd weekend in September.

Welcome from Phoenix!

We seemed to have borrowed about 20 degrees from you good folks up in Prescott, you mind if we give it back just for the rest of summer?

Thanks everyone for the replies, Eddie... Zeke's is this Friday night and the Yavapai Casino in Prescott is tonight. You can get all the info at www.cruisearizona.com Scott You'll make up for it when we get our winter snow and we'll have to come down there to warm up... LOL
Whats so funny is the door windows are so small you feel your in a tank on the battle grounds... I might go with the polish amuminum look but when I'm at the Arizona Round Up I'll get everyones input.

Hello Jerry.

I can't wait until you get that trailer set up. I think the next AZ Route 66 run in May will be fun with us towing our vintage trailers.
