Hi from Connecticut

I've been enjoying this forum and all the build threads, Hall of Fame pictures and stories for a few weeks now. This group and all it's trailers is a great collection of ingenuity and spirit. I can't wait to build (or more likely buy, given my mechanical and wood/metal working abilities) a teardrop.

My tastes tend toward the off-road trailer with a rugged frame built to withstand the rigors of off-road (light to moderate) wheeling. There are so many awesome choices in manufacturers of these specific types of teardrops; I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with the So-Cal Krawler 459, the Mobi1 Xtreme Terrain & Road Tour or the Adventure Trailers Teardrop? How's the build quality, long-term reliability and durability of these three models?

If anybody has input and insight, I'd love to hear their thoughts!

Thanks for this great resource for campers in general and tiny trailers in particular.

Jon,

Sorry I can't help you with your question.........

But never the less, Welcome to the forum. Plenty of folks with off-road rigs, so maybe someone will chime in.

Thanks guys! So many cool TTT's and TD's to look at and read about on here and so much ingenuity and personalization. I'm almost as amazed by the build threads as by the journeys the completed trailers take!

Hey Jon welcome from another CT member! Where are you located? There are several td owners here in the state. Sorry I can't help you with your off road question but I'm sure there will be a few folks chiming in soon. Good luck with your build! Don't forget to post pics.

Hey Theresa!

I'm in Middletown...good to know there are some other TD fans in the state. I've yet to see a TD up close and in person. I stopped at the RV dealer on I-91, exit 41--the owner said the nearest TD dealer was up toward Northhampton, MA. I want to see a few of these little beasts soon so I can start planning a build or start saving up (or both)!

Thanks for the shout out!

Jon, if you haven't been on there yet, you should also check out the Tearjerkers site. There's a link up above for it. You will be able to get info on some camping gatherings that are going on in different areas. We have a New England chapter member that's from Middletown and just finished his build earlier this year. There are also a few other folks not to far from Middletown. Try to get to a gathering at your first opportunity and you'll get to see lots of cool builds. You don't have to have a trailer to go to a gathering. Tents are welcomed.
