New Squid "Fromthe Land of the Morning Calm"

Postby swamper50 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 5:29 am

Greetings form South Korea. I hope to be able to build the first weekender here. It should be a strange ride, but fun. Will turn 60, and I have only worked on aircraft (USN-Army Contractor) and never wood.
I wish to Thank All for the information I have received from the forum.
I'll do my best to be a part. Regards, Swamper50

Welcome! Why not stay with metal? It should last a good long time in S. Korea!
God Bless

Metal

Steel is cheap, aluminum is out of site. Wood costs a lot also but its a weight thing.
Thanks for the welcome. Later Swamper50

If you still have contacts as a contractor, you can "liberate" some scrap metal from C or D checks ( asking first, of course), also, there is some decent wiring that can be recovered from major overhauls, and the switches, even if they are rusty, outlast any cheap hardware store switches.....just some ideas...
