Hi 556, welcome to the best teardrop forum on the web. Most of us teardroppers, enjoy the interaction of cooking and sharing the out of doors with our fellow teardrop owners. That means that we look forward to the bacon and eggs, hot coffee and such, that is prepared right out of our little rear galley, located under the hatchlid, out back. (Hi there, come on over and warm up at the fire, want a cup of coffee?)
The Little Guy Co., makes a quality camping unit, but you might want to consider getting a model that has a rear galley, as it offers you the option to interact with like-minded trailer owners. I am sure you would be happy with the ample cabinet storage and comfortable bed, with 48 inches of headroom, within the RT, but, be aware, you are denying yourself the pleasure of spending time outside and chatting with your fellow campers. You have to cook outside anyway, why not in your galley, where all of the pots, pans, food and plates are located?
I was once a motorhomer, and know how isolated I was, staying inside and not venturing out to chat with my fellow neighbors. This limited my connection with other RVers and ever since I became "teardrop-crazy", I have discovered how important it is to interact with the campers next door, and discover how much we all have in common.
A big part of camping in a teardrop, is getting to know the other nearby campground friends, and this can only be done, by spending most of your time outside. Give it some thought, I would hate to see you make the wrong choice. Just my two cents. Again, I say, welcome aboard, we are here to help, and not alter your choice of finding the perfect camping unit. Good luck on your selection, weather a weekday crash spot at work, or later as a get-away into some remote area. Sorry about the rant!
