I haven't really looked at the site plan just glanced at it but from the looks of it I see showers and new rest rooms as well as more camp sites .I must say as a child we went camping all over that area with the grandparents picnic's and family reunions . I remember going through the wounder land of rocks and even a rocker canyon picnic And I don't think I had ever seen that area for camping there as we camped in turkey creek area just south of there . I was quite amazed at the site . as you mentioned I believe it is kind of tough to find a spot and that would be why the uncles don't go there living in douglas that is whare they go all the time .I would like to go with out the big family someday so I can find a spot with out looking for more than 2 over there .

Hello Gabe!

I hope they are adding a few more campsites. It truly is a beautiful campground, and i love to winter camp there. Sprucing up the bathrooms would be welcomed also!

Let us know what you find, if you get a chance to swing by there!
God Bless

Well they finally started the project . After taking a closer look at the plans most of the things that are getting done we would not notice . they are putting in some new sewer lines and water lines along with a really big septic system . The job is going a little slow so I have had a chance to walk around and see the camp site close up . What a place .The deer come right up to you. There are jack hammers and heavy machinery making all kinds of noise and they act like it a regular day in the city . I did see they have a out door movie theater looks like fun. very nice place indeed .
