Hello from Alabama!

Postby driftwood » Sat Dec 25, 2010 11:55 am

New to the forum and teardropping.. thought I would say hello, incredible info on this site for us newbies! Decided skill level was not there to build (at this time anyway) so bought a homemade one from a craftsman (he restores Chris Craft woodies) in Georgia. He modeled it after the Camp-Inn woodies and did a great job.

Wife and I looking forward to our first trip, making minor mods now. Have camped entire life... from pop-ups to loaner RVs to wilderness backpacking to canoe camping to car camping in large tent... looking forward to the ease and freedom that teardropping appears to offer and getting to know you guys better through the forum and some gatherings.

A few pics of the new baby here...

Good looking teardrop!
Check out the Alabama chapter on Tearjerkers, as they have a gathering at the Gulf in January

:applause: Welcome Driftwood,
You could call this forum a "playground" or a "candy store"; in either case it is true...you can have a great time in here. Look forward to some more pictures of your outings.

Driftwood, you lucked out, and have a fine looking camping unit. Welcome to the forum, and hope to see you here in So Calif when you make that cross country trip in the near future. By the way, what is behind the aluminum below the galley counter top?
8) ;) Roly

Roly, beneath the counter there is a 7 gal fresh water tank with electric pump, 7 gal gray water tank, and a large storage area that is accessed by a
Trap door on counter. Not sureni would have built this way.. Will see after first outing..
