Hi folks! Google led me to this forum, and I am glad I found it when I did. I had been planning to turn an enclosed cargo trailer into a toyhauler for some time, after looking at factory built travel trailers, and not being impressed with the quality. Funny how ideas grow. The original plan was based on a 14x7. That plan was modified to a 16x8, and now, finally a 24x8 v-nose with a 7' ceiling! I plan to haul a light sport trike in the rear (aircraft), and turn the front into living space for my family, while traveling. We spent a little more than planned, on the trailer itself, but we tried to make smart choices based on our needs, both now, and in the future. Nicely done, with all the options we need, we should wind up with exactly what we want, for about half the price of a factory toyhauler. We are 5 weeks from delivery of our Haulmark trailer, and I will try my hand at a journal when it arrives!

Welcome Kyle. I live down in moses. What do you mean by a light sport trike? Is that an ultra light?

Good to see someone else local on here.
Yes, these used to be called ultralights, but with the new FAA ruling, they are now "Light sport aircraft", as they are too heavy to meet the requirements for ultralight, and they have two seats. Tons of fun, if you are careful! The wing folds into a 20' bag, and the machine itself only weighs about 500 pounds total.

cool sounds like fun. I always wanted one of those para kites.with the motor strapped to your back but I have'nt found that much extra money lay'n around yet. where would you haul this thing to that you would need a toy hauler?

Paramotors look like a blast! I've never flown one, but I know a few people who have. I plan on using this trailer to camp at state parks, and also airports. There are a lot of small airports that allow overnight camping. I used to tow my old trike on an open trailer, but something would always happen. Rain, rock chips on the prop, etc. I was always worried about vandalism, and theft, also. Sugar in your car's gas tank is really bad. Sugar in the gas tank of an aircraft can easily be fatal! If you want to learn to fly a paramotor sometime, get ahold of Scott Johnson. He's down in Asotin, and regarded as a great instructor for these. Here's a link to his website.

How much liveing space are you going to have in your trailer? Im sure there will be shared space as well when the trike is out. Kitchen? bathroom?
