Hello all, John here from Michigan.
I am planning a 7000 mile plus road trip this summer, heading west through the north down the California coast and back home through the south. then we will head north back to Michigan by way of New Orleans.
I will be traveling with my wife with our Smart Car 451 and was thinking of a teardrop instead of hotels. I know nothing about these trailers or even if a Smart Car can tow one. Any help information or travel tips would be great.
Hopefully I can pull this off and see a good portion of the nation this summer

what is the towing capacity of a smart car?
and do you have time to build the teardrop that you want before your trip is supposed to start?
