Hi from oklahoma

hi, I am new to the forum and have recently started working on teardrop trailer. I have two kids and wife that have to fit in. my original plan was for a 5' x 10" traditional teardrop trailer, but after getting the wishes of the wife and kids I had to go bigger. the wish list included being able to stand up to change clothes, and a bathroom. I found a old 1970's travel trailer frame that was 16' long for $100. I ending up cutting it down to 14' and reducing the width down to 69". My goal is to have an aerodynamic trailer that is easy to pull and has a kitchen out side in rear and weight about 2200#. I have the floor and the frame completed if you would like to see it go to this link. Hopefully it falls within your definition of a teardrop.

Joe

Welcome to the forum Joe. That is one cool trailer. I think that you have left the realm of Teardrop and wondered in to the Tiny travel trailer realm. But what you done so far is way cool. Love the way it raises up. Can't wait to see the rest of your build.

Well I hope to stay in the spirt of the teardrop. Cook and live outside and sleep inside. we hope to be done with the build by the End of May so we can take our first trip. We are planing to go to Galveston island in Texas for about a week. If it gets done by then.

Welcome Joe!!! As long as you have a small camper and like camping with other cool people , it's good! you'll love the South Central and KAMO folks!

I hope we come up with some camping later this fall in Oklahoma.. There are some folks camping over at Natural Falls on the far eastern stateline at the end of April. Then in June there's Caprock Canyon , TX.
