Feeding my brain before I start OR TD

I did a trip to Moab UT before Memorial day weekend, just my daughter and myself. My wife let me know that if she is going next year it wont be in a tent, so the planning has begun.

I prefer to be Off Road and I have been looking at the Off Road improvements to the HF trailer, (bought the Kuffel Creek - Cubby plans). Most likely I will end up building my own frame and adding shocks. I really like what www.adventruetrailers.com has done to make an OR TD, so I will pull some ideas from them and others on the OR part of the fourm here. Just about killed any free time I had this week reading up on everything.

I talked to a neighbor of mine that has a HF TD he built and is going up to the TD gatering in Nebraska this weekend, wish I had the time for the trip to see what others have done and admire their work.

Right now I am planning on a Benroy/Cubby look Benroy Rear & Cubby front and looking to be 5' wide. Although the campster 12 appeals to me with the front bunks giving room for all of the family if needed. Too many decisons before it is started.

I am impressed with all of the ideas and quality of work that peple have put in on making their own expression of art in TD construction. I hope I can live up to the work all of you have done as I start this process.
